Wednesday Night Activities
Join us for Wednesday night Children, Youth (Middle and High School), Young with the Restless (Parent Bible Study), and Adult Bible Study opportunities. Activities begin at 6:30PM each Wednesday evening.
Faith, Fellowship and Fitness
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 pm in the Christian Life Center
10 weeks of sessions (20 classes) for $35.
The class is open to both men and women of all fitness levels. Steps are used but exercises can be done without a step. Bring a mat for floor work and some weights – a light set of 2-3 lbs. or a heavier set of 5-8 lbs. Exercise includes toning and cardio workouts. Please come a few minutes early to your first class to complete the paperwork.
Morning Fitness Club
Thursday mornings- 9:30am in the Christian Life Center
Join us for a free fitness workout club! This class is for people of all fitness levels who are interested in being challenged. This will feature workouts like P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire, Slim in 6, and 10 minute trainer. Workouts will last from 40 minutes to one hour. Free child care will be provided. You will need to bring a towel, water, and determination! If you are interested, please contact Mandy Franco

Tabitha's Hands Circle
If you’d like to learn how to knit or crochet….Or you’d just like to join a needlework group that does projects to serve God’s children, United Methodist Women’s group Tabitha’s
Hands is just the group for you. We meet every third Wednesday around 5:00 pm in the Christian Life Center during the Wednesday night supper. We spend our time together
eating, needle working, sharing patterns and new ideas and resources and teaching each other various needle crafts. We also do some service projects and meet in members’
homes away from our regular schedule as well as collecting canceled stamps to support disabled children. Contact Elinor Heermans if you would like more information about our group 704-840-8080.
The Helping Hands Circle at Salem is a group of women that love the Lord, care about each other and assist with church functions and missions. We meet on the third Monday morning of every month at the homes of members. Our meetings consist of a business report and a spirit filled program, followed by lunch. Our arms are always open to any woman in our church that would be interested in attending our meetings. Please contact Sue Murdock

Model Railroad Display
September 13-15 in the Christian Life Center
Join us for a wonderful model railroad display filling the entire Christian Life Center. This is always a treat and great fun to walk through and explore. Bring the whole family and your neighbors!
Church Camp Weekend
Asheville East KOA- September 27-29
Bring your own camper, RV, or tent, or choose to rent a Kabin for the weekend. But make sure you join this great weekend of relaxing in God’s great beauty on the Swannanoa River. See Phil or Wendi Riddle for more details.
Senior Lunch Bunch
We will gather for lunch in the Salem Christian Life Center at 11:45AM for lunch to be followed by entertainment from Leonard McPherson and band. We hope you will share this with friends and families as it is a great time of fellowship. Please make your reservations by September 29.
Salem’s Annual Bazaar
October 18th, 4 pm – 8 pm
October 19th, 8 am – 1 pm
We are going to try something new this year. On Friday, we will open the bazaar at 4 pm – 8 pm. We want to include a meal and a live auction. This is where you come in. We need items of value to auction…antiques, Panther Tickets…anything you can think of. Let me know if you have something to donate! Again, we hope the Sunday School classes and other groups or individuals will make a basket for the silent auction. There will be a baked goods area, cakes, pies, cookies, candy, etc…, canned goods, jellies, jams, pickles, etc…
